Another Phoenix Suns season has come to a close, prematurely once more.  Time to debrief and recap how all 14 players currently on the team’s roster fared during the 2014/15 season.  This is The Good, the Bad and the Ugly on Brandan Wright

2014/15 Phoenix Stats: 40 games, 21.5 mpg, 7.0 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 0.6 apg, 0.8 spg, 1.2 bpg, 0.4 topg, 58.0% FG,  66.7% FT

Contract Status: Unrestricted Free Agent

The Good

– played three positions on the floor
– only 27 years old – still in his prime
– great athlete for his size
– provided the team with much needed shot blocking
– shoots for an extremely high %
– doesn’t need the ball on offense
– one of the best bench players in the league the past couple of seasons
– when given extended minutes, performed very well

The Bad

– not much of an offensive player
– doesn’t show much aggression on the court
– can get bullied down low due to his thin frame

The Ugly

– has never lived up to his massive hype
– is a free agent, so Suns many only get 40 games out of him for the 1st round pick they traded to Boston to acquire him

Conclusion

Brandan Wright seems like he was made to play for the Suns.  A long, athletic big man that can get out on the break and finish alley oops, Wright is a perfect fit for the team.  Hopefully he gets re-signed this summer.
