Another Phoenix Suns season has come to a close, prematurely once more.  Time to debrief and recap how all 14 players currently on the team’s roster fared during the 2014/15 season.  This is The Good, the Bad and the Ugly on Danny Granger

2014/15 Phoenix Stats: N/A

Contract Status: $2.1 million player option for 15/16

The Good

– ummm……
– he didn’t miss a shot or turnover the ball once as a Sun!
– best training staff in the league hopefully will be able to get him healthy
– can be a calming, veteran voice on a team in desperate need of one

The Bad

– didn’t see any action for the Suns due to ongoing knee injuries
– is six seasons removed from his lone All-Star appearance
– hasn’t played significant minutes since 2011/12
– is turning 32 in a couple of days

The Ugly

– the bad is ugly enough – no need to pile on

Conclusion

Will Danny Granger ever see the court in a Suns jersey?  If the renowned Suns training staff can’t get him healthy enough to play, no one can.  But even if Granger regains his health, looking for significant contributions from him on the court is probably expecting too much.  In the locker room, however, is another matter as he can have a positive impact on the Suns immature roster.
