Every morning after a Suns game, A Dry Heat brings you the Suns Stat of the Day – the number that sums up the previous day’s win or loss. Because numbers speak louder than words. Or a number speaks a 1000 words. Or something.
Suns Stat of the Day: 6:38
6:38. The time left in the game last night when Atlanta went on a three-point barrage. Having only hit three long-range bombs through the first 41:22 of the contest, the Hawks hit five to close out the game and complete their comeback from 11 points down. It didn’t help that when Atlanta got hot, Phoenix got cold – the Suns missed their last nine three-pointers and only scored 14 points in the final stanza. As per usual, Markieff Morris and Eric Bledsoe were the Suns top performers. Three games out of the playoffs with 15 to play. Not looking good.
