Every morning after a Suns game, A Dry Heat brings you the Suns Stat of the Day – the number that sums up the previous day’s win or loss.  Because numbers speak louder than words.  Or a number speaks a 1000 words.  Or something.

Suns Stat of the Day: 3

3.  Three times out of four this season the Sacramento Kings have beaten the Phoenix Suns.  The 26-45, always-in-disarray Kings.  Last night, in a game the Suns needed to win to stay in their desperate playoff hunt, the Kings took it to them, controlling the game from start to finish.  P.J. Tucker going 1-11 from the field definitely didn’t help the Suns cause last evening.  Three is also the number of games that the Suns are behind the Thunder in the playoff race, as the Suns blew a chance to gain a game on OKC last night (the Thunder got destroyed by the defending champion Spurs).
