Every morning after a Suns game, A Dry Heat brings you the Suns Stat of the Day – the number that sums up the previous day’s win or loss.  Because numbers speak louder than words.  Or a number speaks a 1000 words.  Or something.

Suns Stat of the Day: 67

67 points.  67 points the Suns permeable defense gave up to the Boston Celtics last night in the first half(even with two of the C’s best big men – Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk – not playing due to injury).  41 points in the second quarter.  Five straight games getting outscored in the first quarter, and seven out of eight.  Even the insertion of new acquisition Brandon Knight in the starting lineup didn’t help the Suns break out of their habit of slow starts.  Goodbye playoffs, hello lottery.  Again.
