Every morning after a Suns game, A Dry Heat brings you the Suns Stat of the Day – the number that sums up the previous day’s win or loss.  Because numbers speak louder than words.  Or a number speaks a 1000 words.  Or something.

Suns Stat of the Day: 41

Yes, James Harden’s 20-point fourth quarter (and 40 point/12 board/9 assist night) didn’t help matters, but the main thing that did the Suns in last night, once again, was a disastrous start to the game.  Houston scored 41 POINTS!!! in the first 12 minutes last night at the US Airways Center (and 39 in the fourth quarter) and built up an 18 point lead.  And the Suns head into their 10-day All-Star break clinging tentatively to the last playoff spot.
