Every morning after a Suns game, A Dry Heat brings you the Suns Stat of the Day – the number that sums up the previous day’s win or loss.  Because numbers speak louder than words.  Or a number speaks a 1000 words.  Or something.

Suns Stat of the Day: 21

21.  The number of three-pointers the Suns started the game off missing vs the Nets las night.  0-21 from three.  Incroyable!  They ended the game shooting 3-26 from deep.  But even more incredible?  They won!  In a wacky, wacky game in Brooklyn, the Suns pulled out a crucial win by scoring the last eight points in overtime to put the Nets asleep.  They’ll head into their game against Cleveland today 0.5 games behind New Orleans for the #9 spot in the West, and 1.5 behind Oklahoma City for the last playoff spot.  The bad news – they look to be without Alex Len, who sprained his ankle last night.  The good news – the man who should be taking Len’s spot, Brandan Wright, played great off the bench against the Nets yesterday evening.
